A very busy weekend ahead on the Fixtures front for many of our teams in Clane GAA and after the poor weather last weekend when a number of fixtures were postponed we will be hoping for better weather this time around.
Saturday, March 23rd
Both of our U16 Ladies Football teams start their respective league campaigns on Saturday. The A Team playing in Division 4 will host Cappagh and this game will throw-in at 9.30am in Scoil Mhuire. The B Team playing in Division 7 will host Leixlip 2 in Clane and the throw-in 11.30am on the Top Pitch in Conneff Park.
Our U12 Football teams also commence their respective league campaigns and both teams have tough fixtures to start. The D1 team will play away in Sarsfields GAA with a 4.30pm throw in while the D3 team are away to Naas with a 5.15pm throw-in.
Meanwhile our Senior Footballers play the first round of the EMS Copiers Senior Football League Division 2 at home in Conneff Park against St. Kevins with a 6pm start. ** Match Postponed**
Sunday, March 24th
Both of our Féile football teams are in action early Sunday morning. The Féile A team who suffered a heart breaking 1 point defeat last time out to Raheens, have a massive game away against Celbridge where a win will be the minimum required to have any chance of progression as it is their final group game. Meanwhile our very young Féile E team comprised entirely of U13 players will also be up against Celbridge but this game will be played in Clane. Both games will throw-in at 10.30am.
Our Minor Footballers who are still undefeated and sit proudly on top of Division 1 with 4 wins and 1 draw will be looking to get back to winning ways when they travel to Naas who themselves are undefeated (W3, D1) but have played 1 game less. It should be a thriller between two very strong teams. Throw-in is at 12.30 in Naas.
Finally our U12 Ladies Footballers will host Leixlip in a challenge match on Sunday afternoon at 2pm on the top pitch in Clane. **Match Postponed**
