Our Clubhouse Café & Bar has reopened with new operating hours and a special schedule for the Christmas period. An awful lot of work and effort has gone in to making the bar and the main hall both hospitable and safe. A new set of guidelines and Covid Protocols have been prepared and put in place to ensure all of our members can visit the club and enjoy themselves in a safe manner. Please see full details below.
Current Opening Hours
Up to and including Sunday, December 21st the bar will be open 5 days per week; Wednesday thru Sunday (closed Monday and Tuesday). Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we trade from 16.00 to close and on Saturday and Sunday we trade from from 12 noon to close. Close means that everyone is off the premises by 23.30.
Please note that for the foreseeable future, the café service will be restricted to bar food only (to comply with Government regulations) - please scroll down to see the menu; the normal café service will not resume until a later date. Take away coffee will still be available.
Christmas Opening Hours
From Monday, December 22nd through to Friday, January 1st we will be trading from 12 noon to close with the exception of Christmas Eve where we have yet to finalise the closing time. It is expected however that last orders will be at 9pm on Christmas Eve; we will confirm asap and update this web page.
Throughout the entire period we will be strictly implementing and adhering to the following protocols.
Clane GAA Club Café/Bar Covid Protocols
Following a consultation with our Naas Garda Supervisor, our Clane Garda Sergeant and inline with HSE recommendations the Executive of Clane GAA Club would like to highlight the following guidelines to all our customers for the Christmas and New Year period;
Given the available floor space and number of tables configured within the Club (Bar and Hall) we have a maximum capacity of 120 people. If we are at capacity, there will be no further admittance of Customers until this is facilitated by customer departures. So there may be waiting time experienced by some potential Customers.
All guests should avail of the hand sanitiser which will be available in the Club hall entrance.
There are two seating areas to facilitate guests. The Main Bar will be reserved for adults only, whilst the Main Hall is available for families and children. Children must be supervised by their parents whilst on our premises. Check out these short YouTube videos of the decorations in the bar and the main hall.
All guests must wait at the bar entrance to be seated at a table, maximum of 6 per table. Once seated, guests will be tended to by a dedicated member of staff for their food and drink orders. (No drinks or food can be ordered nor will be served from the counter).
Once seated guests MUST first order food and subsequently can order drinks from their waitress/waiter. There will be a strict no food - no drink rule enforced by all members of staff. Failure to order food will result in individuals/parties being asked to leave the Clubhouse.
Customers should be at all times conscious of the welfare of others and maintain a 2m distance from others outside of their “pod” at all times.
As a proactive measure and in partnership with An Garda Síochána, Clane GAA Club will be facilitating inspections over the Christmas and New Year period to ensure compliance with Covid guidelines and legislation to ensure the safety and health of our staff and customers.
Last food orders in the Club will be at 22HRS. Last drink orders in the Club will be at 22.45HRS. All Customers must be off the premises and the Cafe/Bar facility will close at 23.30HRS.
We would like to thank you all for your cooperation with the above so that we can make this an enjoyable, happy and safe Christmas for all supporters of Clane GAA Club.
Is mise le meas,
Chairman, Clane GAA
